  • A green treasure, a natural jewel; this is how the Juan Castro Blanco National Water Park is best described. It is an area of 14,453 hectares, visited by few due to the lack of information and that can only be reached by walking a natural path. As a great attraction for those who truly love nature and are encouraged to walk by it, there is the Pozo Verde Lagoon in the heart of the park. Getting to the lagoon is not easy, because of the absence of clearly identified demarcations  or trails, so the ideal is to take one of the tours offered by a few local microentrepreneurs. To get to this beautiful lagoon you should not enter the park entrance. Right next to the entrance fence, on the left is the path that leads to Pozo Verde, a path that starts with a humid forest, all covered in moss and vegetation, many shadows and mud. There is no entrance fee and you can bring your pets if you like.
