Costa Rica Home Build

What does it take to do it in Costa Rica - Sponsorship Opportunity

InCostaRica, in conjunction with HGTV, is creating 120 videos over 26 sections on what it takes to build or remodel a home in Costa Rica.   In this series we will demonstrate that this is not only something that the average buyer can handle, but that they can save by actively participating in the process and avoid overcharges on everything from labor to materials.   This video series will include videos and articles documenting each step of the home building process along with tips, checklists and recommended manufacturers.

What is InCostaRica?

InCostaRica, the mobile application for Costa Rica is designed to help English speaking nationals and expats has partnered with HGTV to help North Americans build and remodel homes in Costa Rica.  1 Minute YouTube Explainer Video of InCostaRica

The Problem

Last year over 30,000 homes were built in Costa Rica along with countless remodeling projects.   Typically native English speakers are fearful of building a home or tackling a remodel due to language barriers, mis-information and a general lack of understanding of the process.

The Solution

26 Steps to Build A Home:

We divided the home construction process into 26 sections that give the viewer detailed coverage of critical topics through 4 to 5 videos in each section.   Guidance is offered as to where to buy materials, which brands to trust and how to choose and manage contractors. An individual brand or company will be allowed to sponsor each series, along with a major retailer as a primary sponsor.

Goal:

We aim to demystify construction in Costa Rica.   By educating our target audience they will be better prepared to make the choice between building vs buying existing home.  By guiding them through every step of the process, recommending brands and construction materials, viewers will have a complete understanding of the process and the cost savings of building in Costa Rica.

(4-5) Section Articles:

Each video is also part of a written article of somewhere between 1500 and 2500 words.   These articles will credit the sponsor and provide contact information as well as links. These articles will feed both video views and readers.   The articles are also part of the Builders Book.
